When water evaporates on the land and oceans and when plants transpire, the water vapour rises and condenses forming clouds. water falls from clouds from rain. Some of the water is intercepted by plants while part of it seeps into the ground. The water that seeps ito the ground forms ground water. Water that does not infiltrates flows over the land surface as surface runoff. The ground water eventually reaches the surface, and together with the surface runoff, forms rivers and tributaries. The water in the rivers enter lakes seas and oceans. The whole cycle is repeated.
